Write for us
Stellar Connection welcomes clear, original pitches that help general readers understand the night sky. Proposals should centre on one answerable question, a distinct reader benefit and a scope suited to an evergreen article.
What to pitch
We are interested in sky patterns, celestial objects, observation choices, maps and tools, and the ways people make meaning from the sky. Strong pitches explain what the reader will understand or be able to notice by the end. A comparison, an explanation, a piece of context or a focused observing plan can all work when the central idea is specific.
Make the proposal clear
Send a working title, a short summary of the main point, the intended reader and a few lines about how you would approach the subject. Flag claims that need specialist checking and explain the material you would use to support them. We favour original angles, careful distinctions between cultural stories and physical explanations, and plain language. Do not send a complete article unless requested.
Where to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include enough detail for us to judge the idea; a pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication. We cannot guarantee a response or a publication date.
